Relaxation Exploration

Relaxation exploration is a 30 minute class designed to teach students various techniques to facilitate relaxation and clarity of mind. Each week, a different technique will be explored. This is not a progressive class, meaning students are welcome to drop in on a week to week basis. Techniques include:

Progressive Relaxation – Learning to relax, one body part at a time, until you completely let go of stress and physical tension.

Visualization – Using the mind to create an image that brings you to a peaceful place.

Breathe Work – Using the breath to facilitate deep mind and body relaxation.

Guided Imagery – A guided journey incorporating all of the senses.

Affirmations – Learn powerful statements that can be incorporated into your self talk and improve your outlook on life.

Classes will resume fall semester 2006. Check this page or the Group Exercise Schedule at the beginning of fall semester for class times.
