Wellness - Mind/Body Classes
Yoga:
Basic Yoga (1 hour):
Relax while strengthening your body during this beginner/intermediate yoga class. Each class includes basic breathing techniques, followed by descriptions of specific poses, leading into a more intense flow series. Weight-bearing postures, balancing poses, and deep relaxation will help to calm your mind while developing muscular strength and improving posture and flexibility. First-time yoga students welcome!
Power Yoga (1 hour):
A cardio-yoga class! Power yoga incorporates yoga postures with movements that allow participants to flow from one posture to the next. Power yoga is designed to build strength, increase cardiovascular endurance, and calm the mind, body, and spirit.
Pilates:
Pilates (1 hour 15 min):
Pilates uses non-aerobic floor exercises to strengthen the flexors, extensors, deep stabilizers of the spine, hips and shoulders, while enhancing all physical activities. Come check it out!
Tai Chi:
Tai Chi (1 hour):
Prepare to be calm and relaxed. Tai Chi combines a moving form of yoga and meditation with slow, soft, and even transition between movements to foster a calm and tranquil mind. Learn about such things as balance, alignment, fine-scale motor control, and rhythm movement.
