Group exercise classes are offered each week for free to members of the Student Recreation Center. No registration required. Check this schedule for exercise classes currently being offered.

Class Descriptions:
20/20/20 (1 hour) :
Get your cardio and your strength workout done all in one class. This workout consists of 20 minutes of cycling, 20 minutes of cardio kickboxing, and 20 minutes of strength training to trim your body from head to toe.
30/30/30 (1 hour 30 min) :
Get a total body workout with this class. This workout consists of 30 minutes of cycling, 30 minutes of cardio kickboxing, and 30 minutes of strength training to trim your body from head to toe
Abs Only (30 min) :
This class helps you develop that washboard look. Focusing on firming and defining the abdominals play an important role in maintaining good posture and a healthy back. All fitness levels.
Aerobics (1 hour):
A variety of fun-filled classes that increase heart rate and burn body fat. This assortment includees step, hi/lo, kickboxing, hip-hop, cardio ball, butts & guts, 2-step, Interval Cardio, and NIKE Total Body. A different class is taught each day. Abs included with each class.
Aqua Fitness (1 hour):
Enjoy this mixture of toning and cardiovascular exercises performed in deep and shallow water. In this class, you will receive the same level of cardiovascular intensity as you get on land without straining your joints! All swimming skill levels welcome. Make sure to bring a towel and your bathing suit!
Basic Yoga (1 hour):
Relax while strengthening your body during this beginner/intermediate yoga class. Each class includes instruction in basic yoga asanas and breathing techniques. Standing, seated and balancing postures, followed by deep relaxation will help to calm your mind while developing muscular strength and improving posture and flexibility.
Body Sculpting (1 hour):
This hour class will pump you up! Body sculpting uses hand weights, resistance bands, body bars, resist-a-balls, and other equipment to tone and sculpt the entire body. Concentration is on toning all of the major muscle groups of the upper and lower body. A great full-body toning workout!
Capoeira (1 hour):
Created in Brazil, this fighting style martial art will help increase your agility and flexibility.
Happy Hour (1 hour):
Kick off the weekend with a great workout! The instructor may incorporate a variety of aerobic activities in this hour class, including kickboxing, hi-lo aerobics, step, and muscle conditioning to increase the heart rate and tone the body. Finish off the class with an awesome abdominal workout. Something for everyone!
Hoopla (1 hour):
Hoopla is a fun, exhilarating, meditative and unique form of revolving movement art. Hooping is dancing with resistance; it is a form of self expression as well as a way to release stress and connect spiritually. Hoopla is a holistic tool that shapes the body, calms the mind, and soothes the spirit. It is no-impact, but you can easily work up a sweat! If you're looking for a whole-body workout that is beautiful, unique, and tons of fun, this is the class for you!!
Kickboxing (1 hour):
Kick up a sweat with this hour workout! Kickboxing employs boxing moves and kicks for a fast-paced, total body workout. Use upper cuts and jabs to increase your heart rate and tone your body. This class may also include a body sculpting segment.
Pilates (1 hour):
Pilates uses non-aerobic floor exercises to strengthen the flexors, extensors, deep stabilizers of the spine, hips and shoulders, while enhancing all physical activities. Come check it out!
Salsa (1 hour):
This very energetic Latin dance is lots of fun, completed with spins, sharp movement, and crisp turns. No partner needed!
Spinning (45 min-1 hour):
This class is guaranteed to leave you spinning! Ride a stationary bike to music to give you a full aerobic workout while toning the lower body muscle groups. These classes also include an abdominal toning segment. Make sure you bring a towel and water!
Super Spin (1 hour 30min):
This class is sure to leave you drenched in sweat! An hour and a half long ride of hard hills, sprints, and jumps is what this class is made of. This cardio workout is sure to lead you to your fitness goals fast!
Tai Chi (1 hour):
Related to Ashtanga and Power Yoga. Vinyasa is a sequencing of poses, linked with breath, that stretch and tone the body. Classes include weight-bearing poses, picture sequencing, basic breathing techniques and relaxation.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga (1 hour):
Related to Ashtanga and Power Yoga. Vinyasa is a sequencing of poses, linked with breath, that stretch and tone the body. Classes include weight-bearing poses, picture sequencing, basic breathing techniques and relaxation.
Zumba (1 hour):
Combines high energy music from all over the world with easy to do dance steps in an effective workout that not only burns more calories than other fitness classes, but is also tons of fun! For ALL fitness levels. Participants are invited to make up their own moves, to laugh and to have fun! Dance and fitness moves sculpt and tone the entire body – most of all the hips and tummy. Come and ZUMBA!
